Local founder launches print magazine celebrating faith and rural life.

Salt & Saddle Living opens subscriptions for its inaugural issue, sharing stories of faith, agriculture, and the people who make rural America strong.

Mobeetie, Texas - Salt & Saddle Living, a new quarterly print publication rooted in faith and rural life, has officially opened subscriptions for its inaugural issue. Founded by Lauren Guest of Mobeetie, the magazine celebrates agriculture, family, faith, and the everyday stories that shape rural communities.

“I have a passion for the agriculture industry. The stories of faith and virtue intertwined in this way of life are worth sharing,” says Lauren. “Salt & Saddle living was created to preserve these stories and encourage families to live out their faith with purpose and gratitude.”

While most publications are transitioning online, Salt & Saddle Living intentionally embraces print, featuring faith in daily agriculture life, rural legacies, devotionals, prayers, recipes, and aligned business spotlights, to be passed as a seed of hope to others.

"My hope isn't simply to publish a magazine," Lauren said. "I hope these pages encourage families, start meaningful conversations, and remind readers that God is still at work in ordinary rural life."

About the Founder

Lauren Guest was raised in the agricultural industry spending many hours in feedyards with her dad and at her grandparents' cow calf operation. Upon graduating WTAMU with her Agricultural Business and Economics degree, she moved to Mobeetie because she always believed it was God's country. She worked on the ranch, in a feedyard, and at the local FSA office before meeting her husband, Hayden, in the branding pen. After getting married and in the season of having kids, she became active in her local church with children's and women's ministry. Her passion for the Lord grew and it seemed to feel separate from her passion for the ranch until God brought those two passions together with the project you now know as Salt & Saddle Living.
